Volodymyr
Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, greeted the personnel of the
Memorial Complex "National Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" on the 30th anniversary of its foundation
and the International Museums Day.
The Head of the Parliament delivered a speech at the assembly on the 30th anniversary of foundation of the Memorial Complex. He stated, "This Memorial will always be in high demand, as it keeps the memory about people, country and events of the past."
He stressed that the topic of Victory and those events will always entice speculation during the election campaign. V.Lytvyn believes that people are prevented from getting a full picture of the past events and their consequences and shaping their own point of view. He regretted about the mass manipulation. "They do not try to unite, but to divide," the Head of the Parliament admitted.
V.Lytvyn suggested taking the candidates for public offices on tour around the Memorial Complex, which has one of the largest collections about the war.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine awarded Diplomas of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the personnel of the Memorial Complex "National Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" for their personal contribution into the development of the museum and complete professionalism.
